ABOUT ME
Marcos Medeiros is a multidisciplinary artist whose work flows seamlessly between illustration, painting, and photography. Blending traditional and experimental techniques—ranging from oil and charcoal to intricate black-and-white crosshatching—his practice explores themes of memory, identity, and cultural displacement.
His photographic journeys span a wide range of geographies, capturing the textures of human experience and the quiet drama of landscapes around the world. This constant movement through different cultures and environments informs a visual language that is layered, contemplative, and deeply personal.
Marcos is the author of two books: A Reunião, a series of intimate illustrated portraits, and A Viagem, a photographic essay on the poetic grandeur of Kumbh Mela in India, the largest religious gathering on earth. His solo exhibition at Carbono Gallery in São Paulo brought together drawing, painting, and photography in a meditative dialogue on light, silence, and the passage of time.
Now based in Lisbon, Marcos continues to develop work at the intersection of visual storytelling and emotional resonance.
